Just like the preview says, there really isn't much, just kind of a debug/demo/teaser for the full game? It's still a MAJOR work in progress.
I have played through each ending, and while it is probably possible for Markus to take on the boss alone without any items, it's very time consuming and not recommended. Thankfully he doesn't take much damage to begin with and has an ability that restores HP.
